For those who don't already know Adeline Records is a Berkely based indie label co-owned by Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. That in no way means that the label relies on his fame to promote their own releases, they actually have a nice roster of bands that can hold their own, Billie Joe or not. This is the second comp that Adeline has put out, the first one was amazing but this is a review on the newest one so we'll talk about that. The cool thing about this sampler is the fact that it contains 18 songs, all of them previously unreleased. The CD starts off with the new Green Day track, "Ha Ha You're Dead" and contains many other great songs. Some highlights include a new Influents song, "Taking Time" which is absolutely amazing and "Happy Sarong" a track recorded by Lookout! Records band The Pattern. I had never even heard the Pattern before but after hearing "Happy Sarong" I'm gonna go out and buy their latest. Pretty much every song on this CD is good, I don't find myself skipping over any one in particular except maybe the last song, which is "We Are the Frisk" by.... The Frisk. Yeah that song is the weakest track ont he CD but its last so no big deal. I would say this is one of the better comps I own and definitely tops as far as comps coming out now, its a little slower and poppier than the last Adeline comp but its still good, definitely worth 8 bucks.
