LocalZine: How did you come up with the name, Fat Loser Boy?
Zack: It’s from a movie called “The Pest”- watch it it’s funny
LocalZine: Who are some of your influences/favorite bands?
Zack: Influences: Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, Snuff, Millencolin, The Hippos, The Supertones
Favorite Bands: Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, Millencolin, AFI, No Use For A Name, Social Distortion, The Getup Kids
LocalZine: Have any of you ever been in other bands? Which ones?
Zack: No
LocalZine: What are 5 bands you dislike?
Zack: None because we understand how much work and time goes in to making a band and we respect all of those who have made that commitment.
LocalZine: What’s the hippest show you ever played?
Zack: Any hometown show, but other than that, it would have to be The Fire Escape in Phoenix, AZ on our summer tour.
LocalZine: How often do you guys shower?
Zack: We try to shower every day, but there are times when we’re on the road when that just isn’t possible, sorry
LocalZine: After a show, what can you be found doing?
Zack: Running our merch table, talking to people, watching the other bands, and occasionally you might find one of us trying to take a nap in the van.
LocalZine: What's your favorite kind of breakfast cerial?
Zack: Peanut Butter Capatain Crunch
LocalZine: Do you have any new releases out or coming up? If so, what can we expect?
Zack: We will have at least one new song on the upcoming Warp Cuatro Records compilation. As far as what to expect, the song, “Groundhog Day” leans more towards emo, but that doesn’t mean FLB is going to be an emo band.
LocalZine: What color socks do you have on?
Zack: Black
LocalZine: Any guilty pleasures?
Zack: One time, Jared stuck a piece of dog poop in our friend Jason’s saxophone while we were having marching practice, that’s right we were all band geeks.
LocalZine: Who would you love to play with (dead or alive) and why?
Zack: Less Than Jake because they are probably our biggest influence not only on our music, but also on our live performance.
