LocalZine: Who all is in the band, and how old are y’all?
Keith (17), Brannigan (16), Andy (16), James(17), Wayne(18), and >Orville(16)

LocalZine: How did you come up with the name, The Genues?
Genues: It came down to a desicion between that and "The Tony Danza's." I think we made the right choice.

LocalZine: Have any of you ever been in other bands? Which ones?
Genues: We used to be a loveable ska band called Genuiner Rekliner, but then ska became uncool, so we switched to death metal for a while, but didn't like the scene, so we just stuck with good old rock n' roll.

LocalZine: What’s spinnin in yer cd player right now?
At the Drive-in- Relationship of Command
Craig's Brother- Homecoming
Jimmy Eat World- Clarity
Get Up Kids- Red Letter Day EP
Fighting Jacks- Inside Trade Agreement
Sloe- Inexact Replica
That band who sings "I get knocked down, but I get up again. You're never gonna keep me down."

LocalZine: What are 5 bands you dislike?
1. ESL
2. Lincon Park
3. The Genues
4. That band who sings "I get knocked down, but I get up again. You're never gonna keep me down."
5. Mozart

LocalZine: What’s the hippest show you ever played?
Genues: Either the show we played with Slick Shoes, or the one with ESL, take your pick.

LocalZine: After a show, what can you be found doing?
Genues: Sitting in the back of Orville's car eating packets of mustard.

LocalZine: What kind and what color of underwear are you wearing right now?
Genues: Commando.

LocalZine: What can we expect from your new release coming up?
Genues: Lots of well written songs with huge drums, driving guitars, and melodic 4 part vocal harmonies. The overall sound is leaning more towards really aggressive yet vocally catchy emo/rock/punk. The meaningful lyrics and ultra-involved horns add a lot to the atmosphere of the record.

LocalZine: Any guilty pleasures?
Genues: A few.

LocalZine: Are there any not recognized bands you can suggest to me or the readers?
Genues: Local bands don't get the respect that they deserve. Check out our friends in Keeping Ellis, Sloe, For the Design, Four Star Silent, and Olympic Year.

LocalZine: Who would you love to play with (dead or alive) and why?
Genues: At the Drive-in because they practically killed themselves at every show.

LocalZine: And the most important question of them all….
Who’s the pimpest mofo in all the land?
Genues: That band who sings "I get knocked down, but i get up again. You're never gonna keep me down."
