LocalZine: Who all is in the band, and how old are y’all?
Colty: Hi, I'm Colty Huxx, I sing. Howie Huxx plays bass and sings. Matty Huxx plays guitar and sings. Jimmy Huxx plays drums and sometimes sings.

LocalZine: Where’d you get the name, The Huxtables?
Colty: We came up with the name before our first practice. It was one of the many, and the only that didn't have a big 'X' through it. It was easy to use as a place holder cos Howie would say, "Hey wanna have Hux practice?." The truncatablilty was instrumental in it's selection, I believe.

LocalZine: Have any of you ever been in other bands? Which ones?
Colty: Howie, Matty & Jimmy are in Slow Gherkin currently. Matt and James were in a high school band called Inner Sanctum with our friend Josh (whom recorded with us on our last EP and plays with us when we do acoustic shows).

LocalZine: What are 5 bands you dislike?
Colty: Pick five rap metal bands. Honestly, it would be much easier for me to pick five that I do like.
LocalZine: What’s the hippest show you ever played?
Colty: In recent memory? The Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma with the Velvet Teen, Fairview and Sin in Space. I would also put several of the Los Gatos Outhouse shows at the top of the list.

LocalZine: After a show, what can you be found doing?
Colty: Talking to showgoers and hanging out with the bands. We're pretty sociable.

LocalZine: What can we expect from your new release coming up?
Colty: A new ep with new and old material will most likely be released by the end of Summer.

LocalZine: Are there any not recognized bands you can suggest to me or the readers?
ColtyParliament's, Cherry Comix & Joe Dirt. Dang, what?

LocalZine: Any guilty pleasures?
Colty: Mia Sara- have you seen Legend... I mean HAVE YOU seen it?

LocalZine: Who is the pimpest mofo in all the land?
Colty: Dolemite, no wait, Dolemelody. "You nooo good barn burnin' born insecure mo-fo."
