Localzine: How did you come up with you name, Locale AM? What does AM stand for?
Eric: we were once AM, and then somebody told us there was a swedish ska band called AM, so we added the "locale". AM has a meaning that only the band members know.
Localzine: How long have you been around?
Localzine: How did you become a band?
Localzine: What was the first show you played? How do you think you have progressed since that show?
Localzine: Your sound has changed so much since Groove Heroes, why the change?
Localzine: What is your favorite place to play a show?
Localzine: Who are some of your favorite bands?
Eric: a little over four years now
Eric: we were all best friends at first, and then decided to make music all together.. we all began as awful, amateur players.. and are now only semi-awful, semi-amateur players
Eric: our first show was at a place in pinole called the "bear claw bakery". since then we've become far uglier, fatter, and have lost all sense of rhythm, melody, and style
Eric: we never have the desire to necessarily "change". we just write what feels good.. you buy different clothes as you grow older... you befriend different people as you grow older... times change, life changes, our music only reflects that.
Eric: either 3 oaks community center in vacaville, L3 @ iMusicast in Oakland, the Oasis in san rafael, or the danville grange hall

Eric: very excited. i see that our promotion techniques are getting better.. but we're still not doing as well as we could be.. we're always hungry for more.. thats what makes us a hard-working band
Eric: release a new record indepently in january, continue to expand in major west coast markets, hopefully ink deal with major label in summer.. continue to write songs we love, and perform them to our peers..
Localzine: The Characters EP is so different from The Sounds of Spring it was nice for the band to prove such ability to perform different types of music, what inspired the change in the musical style?
Localzine: Any bands you would like to plug that you don`t think have enough reconigition?
Localzine: Ok now for the most important question. Who is the pimpest muthafucka of all time!?
Eric: although we do love SOS dearly, we wanted to make a record that was just for us. no arrangement restraints. no worry about "hit choruses", just a record by musicians, for musicians.. something we could really be proud of, and show everyone what locale am does on their days off.
