Localzine: Who are the members of the band, how old are y'all and what do you play?
Pacific Vibrations: Kerry Wing (Lead vocals/guitar)
James Fitzsimmons (Vocals/Drums)
Craig Butterworth (Trombone)
and Japhy Riddle (Bass)

LocalZine: How did you come up with the name, Pacific Vibrations?
James: couldn't think of anything better (pacific=coast vibrations=musical) hehe
Kerry: It's actually an old surf movie.

Localzine: Have any of you ever been in other bands?
Kerry: The Burnin' Biscuts (jam/reggae/blues etc), Datura (metal), Static (surf), Sheepdawg (hip-hop), and a few others.
James:Chernobyl Ballet company the megatones and a few disorganized punk bands. My first band was a nirvana cover band named depression (I was in 5th/6th grade)
Craig: Does Junior High Jazz band count?

Localzine: What are your aspirations for this band?
Craig: To play a bunch of gigs, hear my name on the radio, and get James laid.
James:I just want to make music, make people dance, and have fun (and quit my day job)
Kerry: I would like to travel the world and spread our music.

Localzine:What's spinnin in yer cd player right now?
Kerry: The mighty Diamonds and The Afro Cuban All-Stars
James:Japh dawg (Japhy, the bass players, hip hop group)
Craig: The classic Ska artists: Sarah Brightman (opera), Avril Lavigne, and Beth Orton

Localzine: Who are some of your influences?
Kerry: Marley (of coarse), the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, Los Lobos, Peter Tosh, Craig Butterworth, Toots and the Maytals, and Joseph Spence, just to name a few.
James:Jackie opel, the specials, bad manners, skatalites, DOT, judge dredd

Localzine: What s the hippest show you ever played?
James: My favorite show was the 1st voodoo lounge show, where it was our 1st semi-big gig, and we got really good feedback on the bay area ska website.
Craig:The Voodoo Lounge, SF, also.

Localzine: Are you playing any shows in the Bay Area anytime soon?
Kerry: most likely @ El Rio, SF. OCT 23 w/ Monkey and a few other bands.
James:Yes, we are coming at you in full attack in these next coming months, but first......to the recording studio!!!!

Localzine: What can you tell me about your new album?
James: It is going to rock Guam!!!!!
Kerry: Yeah, I hope we can find enough coins in my couch to pay for the recording.
Craig:The CD wrapper is a bitch to take off.

Localzine: Any guilty pleasures?
Kerry: No... Not any
James:Neil Diamond and well.....nunya
Craig: I collect AOL software- the free stuff that they send you. I've actually paid for some of the older stuff.
Kerry: Ha Ha!

LocalZine:Are there any not recognized bands you can suggest to me or the readers?
Kerry: Yeah, Pacific Vibrations.
James:Japh dawg the hip hop minstral, Azura , juz cuz (he he), Highwire days (santa cruz hardcore/punk)

Localzine: Who would you love to play with (dead or alive) and why?
Kerry: James. He's a nice guy.
James:I would love to play with the specials (with Roddy radiation Byers), because they have influenced me so much over the years, and really introduced me to ska...

James: Ummm........I hope nobody, because Pimp would entail those who abuse and exploit prostitutes.... But who's the coolest/most wanted man in the world.... I would have to say Craig Butterworth.
Kerry: Yes...Craig.
