LocalZine: What made you want to start a band?
Nate: I saw Aerosmith when I was in third grade. wow.
LocalZine: How old are all of you?
jason: 20. nate: 19. james: 17.
LocalZine: Is there a story behind the name, Short Round?
Nate: Watch the movie Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom, you'll figure it out.
LocalZine: Who are some of your influences/favorite bands?
Nate: Operation Ivy, Green Day, Jawbreaker, Creedence, Fugazi, Bikini Kill.
LocalZine: Have any of you ever been in other bands? Which ones?
Nate: James was in Rag Tag Unit and Quest for Quintana Roo. Jason currently plays in the Chinkees. I (nate) used to be in Spishak.
LocalZine: What are 5 bands you dislike?
Nate: There's lots of people in bands who are jerks. Its the ones with little or no talent I can't handle.
LocalZine: What’s the funnest/hippest show you ever played?
Nate: If by hip, you mean with a popular band..I guess this show we played with Hot Water Music. They're amazing. But if you've seen them, you don't need to hear it from me. We played with quest and under a dying sun once and all those kids are pretty hip I suppose.
LocalZine: After a show, what can you be found doing?
Nate: If we're on tour, I'm probably hassling you to buy something so we can eat.
LocalZine: Can we expect any new releases soon?
Nate: We'll have a full length out on Asian Man Records in March.
LocalZine: Any guilty pleasures?
Nate: I like country music. I'm that sick.
LocalZine: If you could meet any musician dead or alive, who would it be?
Nate: Otis-fucking-Redding!
