LocalZine: Where did you get the name, The Sloppy Meateaters?
Josh: there is no THE in the name.
John: It was really funny and obscure. It's kinda long and
tongue twisted as well but somehow everyone remembers
it, atleast some part of it.
LocalZine: Who are some of your influences/favorite bands?
Josh: Guns N Roses, Nirvana, Buddy Holly
Kevin: Nirvana and nofx were to of the most influencial bands for me
John: Metallica, Nofx, Lagwagon, Propagandhi, Tool, Face to
face, blah blah blah.
LocalZine: Have any of you ever been in other bands? Which ones?
Josh: i use to be in a band called Noclass
Kevin: i was in a solo project called Kevin and the Shonks
John: Nuclear Saturday
LocalZine: What are 5 bands you dislike?
Josh: Creed, 3 Doors down, Dashboardconfessional, Avail, Nsync
Kevin: hmm Creed, mest, the calling, p.o.d., limp bizkit
John: Live, Dave Mathews, Dead Milkmen, ummmmmm...
LocalZine: What's the hippest show you ever played?
Josh: we never play hippy shows. Kill the hippies
Kevin: home town Warped tour in Atlanta i do believe would have to be the
hippest of the hip
John: Warped Tour
LocalZine: After a show, what can you be found doing?
Josh: Huffing gasoline
Kevin: braking my shit down and after that talking to fans
John: Selling merch, talking to kids, isolating ourselves
from everyone and everything, loading equipment.
LocalZine: Do the new songs on your website signal an album in the future? If so, what
can we expect?
Kevin: a new album will be in the works starting next fall, and you can
expect a 100 percent rock n' roll album, riffs that will make your jaw drop
and melodys that will make your head shake.
John: Yes, expect a more mature, rock based album.
LocalZine: Any guilty pleasures?
Kevin: Phil Collins..although i think thats pretty damn cool
John: My hot pink G string
LocalZine: Who would you love to play with (dead or alive) and why?
Josh: Nirvana, Guns N Roses and Buddy HOlly
Kevin: Nirvana without a doubt..they have made me who i am
John: Myself, cause it's fun.
